Admissions Best Practices Protocols
The Access to Care Best Practices for Psychiatric Admissions Protocol was developed with input from the Access to Care Workgroup and focus groups, consisting of representatives from psychiatric admissions departments across the Commonwealth.

Standardized Clinical Presentation
The Standardized Clinical Presentation is a list of data elements developed by inpatient psychiatric units and Emergency Service Programs through the Access to Care Workgroup to identify what needs to be communicated either verbally or in writing when making a referral for inpatient care. This list includes information that may not be relevant for all clients.

ESP Area Directory (Updated 7/9/2014)
This Directory contains updated contact information for Emergency Service Programs including towns served.

Community-based Medical Screening Guidelines
To support recent shifts to community-based service delivery in the Emergency Services Programs (ESP), the MBHP Access to Care Workgroup and the Medical Screening Subgroup has drafted the "Community-Based Medical Screening Guidelines." Click here for a letter describing this project further. While these guidelines have not been finalized, work is continuing in 2011 to facilitate direct admissions from community-based ESP/MCI encounters to inpatient mental health services when appropriate.
