Welcome to MBHP

The Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) manages mental health and substance abuse services for more than 350,000 MassHealth members across the Commonwealth. Working collaboratively with Members, their families, advocates, state agencies, and providers, MBHP has created a community-based system of care that integrates mental health and primary care for Members.

MBHP is committed to ensuring that Members receive clinically appropriate, high quality, accessible health care. To achieve this goal, MBHP has stressed the involvement of consumers and their families to ensure that their needs guide the development of MBHP's programs.

Focus on...

Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) Information
Please click here to access this section, which contains, among other things, Public Announcements, CSA and CBHI Network Announcements, information regarding CANS, Community Service Agencies (CSA), the Application for Network Affiliation (ANA) regarding network expansion, Performance Specifications for the CBHI services, and much more.

Announcement regarding MBHP CBHI Authorization Procedure
For CBHI services, including Therapeutic Mentoring (TM), In-Home Behavioral Services, Family Support & Training (FS&T), and In-Home Therapy (IHT), authorization is obtained through MBHP's IVR system. To access the IVR system, please call (888) 899-6277 and follow the prompts. This is the easiest and quickest way to obtain authorization for these services. If the authorization request cannot be processed for any reason, providers will be directed to a voicemail box. All messages in the voicemail box are processed regularly and forwarded to an appropriate care manager who will assist providers in completing authorization requests.
